Test mode
Exercise invoice status and webhook handling without moving real money.
Use a pk_test_ key (or create a test invoice from the dashboard).
- Checkout shows a Test mode - no real money banner and a Test payment complete receipt after simulation.
- Payment targets are placeholders. The test page does not show deposit instructions, wallet connections or card purchase controls.
- Use Simulate a successful payment on the hosted page to exercise invoice confirmation and webhook delivery. The simulation does not create a live payment transfer or credit a merchant balance.
- Simulated amounts use the selected source coin. Live invoices separately report source instructions and USDC settlement. Simulation does not test conversion, provider delivery or on-chain verification.
Keep test and live payments separate
A simulated paid status is an integration result, not a customer payment. Test events have livemode: false and go only to test webhook endpoints. Use them for test orders; your production fulfillment handler should require livemode: true as well as the normal signature and payment checks.
ACH and domestic wire invoices and payment links are available only in live mode for eligible accounts. A test key cannot create bank transfer instructions, and simulation does not verify bank delivery, settlement or returns. Never send money to test payment details.
When you're ready, switch to a pk_live_ key. Live invoices receive real payment instructions after route validation. For crypto, follow the returned coin, network, amount, address and memo. For bank payments, use the USD amount, bank details and required reference shown on checkout.
