Buy with card

Buy with card

Buy USDC on Base through Stripe for an eligible live checkout.

New checkouts offer Buy crypto with card only when their payment source is USDC_BASE and card onramp is configured. Other source coins and networks do not offer this option.

See the accepted payment methods guide for a merchant overview of card eligibility, coins and bank transfers.

How it works

  1. Buyer clicks the button on /pay/{invoiceId}.
  2. Ulasend creates a Stripe Crypto Onramp session for the exact USDC amount, locked to the invoice's existing Base deposit address. Its payment source and address do not change.
  3. Buyer completes the embedded Stripe purchase flow inside the Ulasend checkout. Stripe may open separate authentication or identity-verification screens.
  4. Purchased USDC is sent to that address on Base.
  5. The payment provider delivers USDC to the receiving wallet. After Ulasend verifies the delivery and completes settlement, the invoice status and signed webhook report the result. Completing Stripe's flow alone does not mark the invoice paid.

Card-funded payments follow the same exact-payment rule as direct crypto payments. With zero tolerance, the verified USDC delivered must cover the final invoice amount, including passed processing fees and quote rounding. Card authorization, purchase completion, or manual review cannot substitute for the required delivery. Follow the webhook fulfillment checks.

Source eligibility

USDC on another network, EURC, USDT and other crypto sources must be paid using their exact deposit instructions. ACH and domestic wire checkouts use bank transfers and do not offer card purchase. To offer card purchase, create a new USDC_BASE invoice. Live invoices cannot switch sources, and allow_asset_selection does not enable a card fallback.

Merchant setup

No extra API call from your app. Keep USDC on Base enabled under Settings → Payment methods if you want card payments. Your invoice needs a real deposit address and Ulasend must have live Stripe onramp configured. Test checkout uses payment simulation and does not show card purchase controls.
